Our Sustainability Mission
At The Greenhouse, we have a passion for fresh, seasonal menus. Being part of the Rangeford Villages group, we are also committed to minimising our carbon footprint and sourcing our produce from local, independent suppliers.
We strongly believe that establishing long-term partnerships within our community will ensure a thriving future for all, by supporting employment and keeping money in local pockets. Currently, 80% of the produce we use in our restaurant comes from suppliers within a 30-mile radius.
To reduce food miles even further, we grow as much of our own fruit and vegetables as we can in our restaurant’s raised beds and polytunnels. Any excess that we are unable to use is sold to Rangeford Villages homeowners and staff, with the proceeds being donated to local charities.
We recognise that we may not be able to change the world single-handedly, but we believe it is essential to be part of the solution and not the problem.
